📖 Our Story

ProFair was born out of wood chips and spreadsheets.

I volunteered to help with technology for a regional carving competition and exhibition. What I found was a system held together by numbered tickets, a multi-tab spreadsheet, and a wandering photographer. The tickets were expensive. The spreadsheet did a decent job of capturing entries—but not much else. And the photographer? Well, let’s just say the winners may or may not have had their moment captured.

I saw an opportunity to do better.

ProFair was conceived to streamline registration, integrate judging and prizing, and ensure that every winner gets their spotlight. From the very beginning, I built in flexibility—because I knew this wasn’t just about carving. It was about quilting, baking, livestock, crafts, and every other competition that makes a fair feel like home.

Today, ProFair is growing—but the heart of it remains the same: helping organizers run great events without the chaos.
